Design and Construction consulting Services
Presentation Services - AIA Accredited
For companies that have a product introduction need, we have worked with product development companies that require introduction to the AEC community. We have the ability to develop the presentations, get them accredited through the AIA and subsequently deliver them to architects, engineers and general contractors, regardless of location. These presentations are given in person, typically through the lunch and learn process, allowing the participants to ask questions and get advice in the specification of the product. Cost are established with a cost plus methodology, with a detailed estimate provided in the consulting contract.
Sustainability Consultation and Pre-Engineered Design Review Services
Our experience with steel projects and PEMB projects spans over 20 years. This experience allows us to provide significant project cost savings, early on in the design process. Evaluations on structural design as well as cost comparisons between metal building suppliers can save our clients significant costs. Optimizing bay spacing and evaluating clear span solutions are some of the recommendations we can provide. In addition, we have the ability to assure Owners that projects are sustainable and resilient solutions. Incorporating LEED practices in both the site and the vertical are objectives we establish at the beginning of any project.
Owners Representative Services
Our experience in request for proposal activity and the entitlement process is significant. We can provide early evaluation services to determine the best approach to a project. This would include evaluating if the project is best delivered under a hard-bid, Construction management, Construction management at risk or a Design-Build approach. Not all projects are the same and different delivery methods offer different advantages. Furthermore, contract review and evaluation is available to assure the sustainability goals are incorporated into the design.
Land Evaluation Services
Geotechnical services and Phase 1 environmental services are the resources needed to determine the best site selection for a project. These services, along with utility access and fees can make the difference in selecting a site. Furthermore, grading and storm water control are key in the decision. We can help evaluate these systems through due-diligence and report back to the Owner with recommendations.
Sales Assistance and Proposal Development/Response
Sales assistance can include everything from identifying potential customers in specific markets to making cold calls to those customers. We have provided full sales and marketing strategic plans for companies throughout the United States and Canada. These plans are typically provided at the beginning of the calendar year, with market background and trends as well as competition analysis and forecasts. The deliverable includes executive overview and market penetration recommendations.
If a project is public and requires a RFP response, we can assist in the selection of the Team members and the actual response. Private projects and customer responses would include a cover letter, background and objectives, time, cost and terms and conditions.
Construction Services
Construction - Pre and Post Services - can include initial milestone (critical path) scheduling to photographic progress pictures and permitting services. Establishing clear and achievable schedule and sustainability goals are critical in the delivery of services. We have the knowledge of LEED requirements to assist during the construction process in achieving the Owners goals. Safety visits can also be provided with recommendations to assure OSHA compliant practices.
General Consulting Services
Our expertise is available during all phases of the design and construction process. From initial conceptual design and feasibility studies, to contract documents and punch list procedures, Design-Build Consulting can assist. Our services can be priced on hourly rates, cost plus or lump sum contracts. This assures our customers that their needs are met. We will work with the entire team - architects, MEP engineers, civil and landscape designers and of course the Owner to assure a safe and streamlined project.
